- 1 packet puff pastry
- 0.5 cup flour
- 0.5 cup corn flour
- 4 glasses milk
- 4 eggs
- Lemon rind
- 0.75 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 0.5 pint fresh cream
- Icing sugar
Method

Roll cut puff pastry from packet and cut into 4 pieces of the same size

Bake at 180°C till golden brown

Scald milk (before boiling) - not all, keep some behind to dilute flour and cornflour

Add sugar to milk

Add sifted flour and corn flour and boil until thick. Then remove from heat.

Beat eggs and add slowly to milk mixture.

Put back on stove, add vanilla and lemon rind

Bring to boil

Cool custard filling

In baking tray put 1 piece of puff pastry 1/3 of custard on top.

Continue doing this until all custard is used.

Beat 1/2 pint fresh cream and put on top of cooled custard

Crumble last pastry piece and sprinkle on top

Sprinkle icing sugar on top
